Jake & Stephanie’s RACV Inverloch Wedding was held on 18th March 2016. Their ceremony was held at the beach in Cape Paterson and was followed by a lovely reception at the RACV Inverloch. The bride and groom were kind enough to answer some questions about their relationship and wedding day:
Q. When and how did you meet? And what were your first thoughts?
A. we met in summer 2010 lifesaving at Cape Paterson
Jake taught Steph on bronze camp but both can’t remember each other. We became friends and a year later connected over drinks at the Inverloch Espy. Summer 2011 started dating.
Q. When and how did the proposal take place and how did you feel?
A. Jake proposed in August 2014 at Kilcunda lookout where we used to always go and hangout when we first got together. It was very unexpected so Steph was very suprised!
Q. Where are you going on your honeymoon? Please include dates of departure & return (dates are for our info only).
A. We are going to Hawaii 🙂
Q. What are your future plans together (e.g. buying a house/starting a family)
A. Plans are to buy another house here in Victoria (we have one in Qld). We would like to travel a little bit and then start a family.
Q. Where is your ceremony and reception being held and why did you choose these venues?
A. Ceremony is Cape Paterson bay beach. We wanted it somewhere close to home and somewhere that was special to us. We spent a lot of time at both the Cape Paterson and Wonthaggi life saving clubs. We both love the beach. The reception is at the Inverloch RACV Resort
it was perfect for what we were looking for as we have a lot of family(some travelling overseas and states) and its very family orientated. we are all staying there together the night before and of the wedding
Q. What does your wedding dress look like? Please give a detailed description and also include any accessories including jewellery and shoes.
A. Wedding dress is white lace, quiet simple with a small train and a split at the front showing legs. On the beach I’m wearing barefoot sandals. Jewelley is simple just some small pearl pieces.
Q. Do you have a Theme or style to your wedding? And if so, what is it?
Q. Hair & Makeup – please describe what your hair and makeup is like.
A. Makeup is natural, hair is curls
Q. Who is the person conducting your service? (celebrant, minister, priest etc).
Q. Florist – what are your flowers like & who is the supplier?
A. We are having silk flowers that were made in Queensland (forever bouquets by kaz
), ordered before moving back. they are white and pink with frangipanis and peonys. They also have some shells throughout them.
Q. Wedding Favours & Cake – what are they like and who is the supplier?
A. Favours we are making – succulents from our garden. Cake supplier is a family friend – 4 tier blue ombre cake with shells and sand.
Q. Transport – what mode of transport did you choose and who was the supplier?
A. Kombi van from Kombi Love, want the kombi in some photos
Q. Is there any other supplier you would specifically like to mention:
A. ceremonies i do- they supplied our ceremony setup and they setup and packup
we are having a beautiful arch, some chairs, flowers, seagrass aisle runner, signing table and chairs and a sign 🙂
