Wild Dog Winery Wedding – Mark & Erin
Mark & Erin were married at Wild Dog Winery on 7 November 2015. Here are some words from the bride and groom about their relationship and wedding day.
Q. When and how did you meet? And what were your first thoughts?
A. We first met in Primary school but it wasn’t until many many years later that we became friends again on Facebook.
Erin’s first thoughts were this guy is pretty good he is taking me to a Johnny Depp movie and Marks first thoughts were what a cracking smile
Q. When and how did the proposal take place and how did you feel?
A. The proposal took place in a ferris wheel in Fremantle on the 1st of November 2014. We both felt a lot of excitement and knew it was the next step in our lives
Q. Where are you going on your honeymoon?
A. We are going to Hamilton Island for 5 days with a longer trip (to we still don’t know where!) to be planned for next year
Q. What are your future plans together (e.g. buying a house/starting a family)
A. We hope to start a family in the future and continue to turn our house into a home for us and future children as well as getting the long awaited driveway!
Q. Where is your ceremony and reception being held and why did you choose these venues?
A. Both the ceremony and reception are being held at Wild Dog Winery. We chose this venue because it was laid back with the modern and rustic type feel that we both love. Also it was able to hold all the people we had coming!
Q. What does your wedding dress look like? Please give a detailed description and also include any accessories including jewellery and shoes.
A. Dress is a lace Leah S designs
dress with capped sleaves and a smallish train. I am wearing a pearl headband (no veil) and a pearl necklace and earrings. Shoes a custom made flat lace shoes. My bouquet has a a special locket with my grandma and poppies wedding photo on it, so they are with me on the day because they can’t be in person
Q. Do you have a Theme or style to your wedding? And if so, what is it?
A. Our theme has tried to be a rustic theme
Q. Hair & Makeup – please describe what your hair and makeup is like and who the suppliers are.
A. Make up by Living Dolls
. Natural look to the make up. Hair is by a friend called Leah and is a low up do
Q. Who is the person conducting your service? (celebrant, minister, priest etc).
A. Our Celebrant is Suzanne Barberi
Q. Florist – what are your flowers like & who is the supplier?
A. We have fake flowers that were made by Peony Perfection
. They are a mix of pink peonies, peach roses, white tuplips, babies breath and lambs ear
Q. Wedding Favours & Cake – what are they like and who is the supplier?
A. Cake is by Sugar mum. It is red velvet and vanilla cupcakes. Cake topper is us wearing our footy team jerseys
Q. Transport – what mode of transport did you choose and who was the supplier?
A. We have a 1940’s chev which belongs to Marks granddad who is also Driving Erin to the wedding
Q. Food & Drink – what are they like and who is the supplier if not venue?
A. Food is cocktail food (mini hamburgers and such) alcohol is the standard beer, wine and soft drink
Q. Is there any other supplier you would specifically like to mention:
A. Would like mention Hummingbird and Tate
who made the wooden disks for the centre pieces and also made the awesome cake stand
