wedding phillip island – Jacob & Hayley
Jacob & Hayley’s shearing shed wedding reception was held on 18th March 2017. We are interested in our couples and to get to know them a little better we like to get them to complete a questionnaire. Here is Jacob & Hayley’s which tells us a bit about the couple, how they met and their future plans.
Q. When and how did you meet? And what were your first thoughts?
A. We were introduced almost twelve years ago through mutual friends & we hit it off!
We met at the Montrose Football Club. Jake’s first thoughts were “Gee whiz, she’s alright!” Hayley’s first thoughts were “What a top bloke!”
Our friendship grew & so did our love for each other. After six years of friendship we started dating & have never looked back.
Q. When and how did the proposal take place and how did you feel?
A. Jake proposed on the 22nd of May 2016. We were camping on the Murrindindi river for Hayley’s 30th birthday. After breakfast we went for a short walk from the campsite down to the river where Jake held my hands & got down on one knee & asked me to marry him. I couldn’t say yes fast enough & before I knew it we were engaged! It was the most amazing day. Jake was nervous & relieved. For Hayley it felt surreal – a dream come true. We were both so excited & felt completely content! Jake hand carved my ring box out of red gun. It is just beautiful!
Q. Where are you going on your honeymoon?
Q. What are your future plans together (e.g. buying a house/starting a family)
A. We’d like to travel, raise a family & live closer to the beach.
Q. Where is your ceremony and reception being held and why did you choose these venues?
A. After looking at a few venues it was The Shearing Shed
at Phillip Island that stood out to us. I think we both knew when we first walked in. We just had a good feeling. It was important to us both to find a venue that reflected us both individually & as a couple.
Q. What does your wedding dress look like? Please give a detailed description and also include any accessories including jewellery and shoes.
A. Australian dress by Made With Love. The style is known as the Danni & it was nothing like what I had originally pictured myself wearing but as soon as I tried in on I knew it was the one. So much so that I couldn’t contain myself from jumping up & down whilst holding hands with the shop attendant. It has a plunging low back & is so delicately edged. It has the sweetest lace & buttons at the small of the back with a beautiful laced sweetheart neckline & thin straps – Gasp! I love my dress!!! Shoes from Jeanette Maree bridal & evening accessories.
Q. Do you have a Theme or style to your wedding? And if so, what is it?
Q. Hair & Makeup – please describe what your hair and makeup is like and who the suppliers are.
