Ken & Rebecca’h’s Yering Station Wedding was held on Friday 20th January 2017. Below are some more details in the bride and grooms own words about how they met, their wedding day and their future plans together.
Q. When and how did you meet? And what were your first thoughts?
A. We met 2 and a half years ago through a family member. I thought Ken was a very kind, handsome and intelligent man. I thought Rebecca’h was very beautiful, intelligent and worldly woman.
Q. When and how did the proposal take place and how did you feel?
A. The proposal took place on my birthday. Ken took me away to one of our favourite hotels, the Windsor. That evening he took me out to dinner at Grossi Florentino in Bourke St. It was absolutely wonderful. After dinner ken got on bended knee and proposed to me. He created a beautiful collage of photos stemming from our first kiss up until our present date. It was so sentimental and touching. We were ecstatic and couldn’t wait to share the exciting news with our family and friends.
Q. Where are you going on your honeymoon?
A. We stayed in the Yarra Valley and the South Coast. A mid year extended honeymoon is TBC.
Q. What are your future plans together?
A. Our future plans entail enjoying every moment of life together, growing together both personally and professionally and experiencing new adventures!
Q. Where is your ceremony and reception being held and why did you choose these venues?
A. Our ceremony and reception was held at Yering Station in the rolling hills of the Yarra Valley. The grounds and venue are outstanding not to mention the produce of fine fair and exclusive wines!
Q. What does your wedding dress look like? Please give a detailed description and also include any accessories including jewellery and shoes.
A. My wedding dress was made from imported French and Italian silk and lace by D’Italia in Malvern. The dress was my own design which was executed by the very talented bridal couture ‘Sassi by Andronis’in Caulfield. My wedding dress was ‘princess style’ Champagne colored Swarovski crystal encrusted sweetheart corset with a mid length ivory tulle skirt. My crystal shoes were by Gianvito Rossi – Italy Milano. My crystal jewllery was from Jeanette Maree in Armadale.

Q. Do you have a Theme or style to your wedding? And if so, what is it?
A. Classic Cocktail
Q. Hair & Makeup – please describe what your hair and makeup is like and who the suppliers are.
A. My hair and make up was done by the very talented artist Zoe Karlis – South Yarra.
Q. Who is the person conducting your service? (celebrant, minister, priest etc).
A. Our celebrant was the amazing 4th year in a row award winning ABIA Andrew Redman.
Q. Florist – what are your flowers like & who is the supplier?
A. Our flowers were created by ‘Roses and Vines’ which consisted of white David Austin roses, peonies spheres, white hydrangeas, white snapdragons and long stemmed green camelia foliage.
Q. Wedding Favours & Cake – what are they like and who is the supplier?
A. Our wedding cake was created by Sweet by Nature. We indulged in a semi naked flourless chocolate mud cake with layers of fresh orange and orange zest butter cream finished with a whipped vanilla butter cream frosting.
Q. Transport – what mode of transport did you choose and who was the supplier?
A. Bridal car – Mercedez Benz
