High Country Wedding – Wendy & Jason

Wendy & Jason’s High Country Wedding was held on 16th January 2016.  With a gorgeous mountain backdrop this was a bit of a change from the usual beach weddings that we normally photograph.  Below are some words from our bride and groom about how they met and their wedding day.

Q. When and how did you meet? And what were your first thoughts?
A. We first met September 21st 2012 for a drink at the Settlement in Cranbourne.
We both had our profiles on a dating website “Plenty of Fish”. We spoke online for a month or so before we met.
The date went off well and we arranged another date before long.
Wendy thought Jason was a nice guy that I wanted to find out more about.
Jason thought Wendy was very attractive and yes she can talk!
Q. When and how did the proposal take place and how did you feel?
A. Jason took Wendy away for a surprise weekend to Daylesford in June 2013. Jason was planning to pop the question on the Saturday night over dinner but our massages took longer than we thought and it was too rushed. Therefore the next morning while in the spa Jason asked Wendy to marry her. WOW, YES was the answer and tears fell from Wendy’s eyes. So excited.
Q. Where are you going on your honeymoon?
A. Vanuatu is the chosen place for our honeymoon. 12 days of pure bliss and relaxation with a pool at the front door of our room and the beach only a stones throw away.
Q. What are your future plans together (e.g. buying a house/starting a family)
A. Living life to the fullest and enjoying our lives together. Exploring our beautiful country in our 4WD.
Q. Where is your ceremony and reception being held and why did you choose these venues?
A. Our ceremony is at Craig’s Hut on Mount Stirling (the hut featured in the movie “The man from Snowy river” which we both grew up with). It is Wendy’s favorite movie and was our first destination on our first 4WD trip together in November 2012.
A small reception for bridal party and family members only will be held in Barwite, a 22 arce private property, Adelberg.
Q. What does your wedding dress look like? Please give a detailed description and also include any accessories including jewellery and shoes.
