Melbourne Wedding Photos – Weddingscapes

So, what is a Weddingscape?  The way we describe them is ‘they are beautiful landscapes with our couples in them’.  Our Weddingscapes as art pieces are a much sort after product by our clients.  They are always something that we get many positive comments on.  This is the type of image that many of our bride & grooms want in their melbourne wedding photos.  An amazing scene to reflect the day and to remember it by.  These signature photographs make our clients walls.

Our couples and our photographers always have a lot of fun creating these on the day of the wedding and thoroughly enjoy the experience.  Most couples are willing to put in the extra effort to get that awesome shot.  To enable us to create something they can look back on forever, a piece of ART!

Clifftop Wedding – Brad & Taryn

Brad & Taryn’s Wedding was held at the beautiful venue Clifftop in Smiths Beach on Phillip Island Saturday 15th February 2014.
Q. When and how did you meet?
We first met through our mutual friend Amy at her 18th Birthday party when Taryn was 16 and Brad 17.
Q. And what were your first thoughts of each other?
A.(Brad): I saw her dancing with a group of her friends looking down at the ground. I wondered what this pretty girl had to be so shy about. So I decided, very uncharacteristically, to go over and dance with her and I admired her beautiful eyes.
A. (Taryn): I was impressed by his outgoing nature but thought he was just charming all the girls. We shared our first kiss while dancing to ‘Tears in Heaven’. I had such a great time with him and was thrilled when he contacted me the next day.
Q. When and how did the proposal take place and how did you feel?
A. Brad proposed on Valentine’s Day 2012 after a lovely dinner in Docklands with our best friends, Matt and Emma (best man and bridesmaid). I noticed Brad was looking very anxious and couldn’t work out why he was so quiet then he went down on one knee. It was perfect to share the moment with our best friends, especially as Emma and I had had secret chats for years about getting engaged and had started dreaming about weddings.
Q. Where are you going on your honeymoon?
A. Thailand: Phuket and Koh Samui
Q. What are your future plans together?
A. We plan to continue to travel as much as possible, with regular trips back to the Bride’s home of South Africa. In the future we also plan to work overseas with developing communities, as Brad is a teacher and Taryn is finishing her Master’s in International Development. “No kids, more pets!” jokes the groom.
Q. Where is your ceremony and reception being held and why did you choose these venues?
A. Both the ceremony and reception was held at Clifftop in Smiths Beach, Phillip Island. Taryn saw an article in Cosmo Bride and we raced down to look at it. The moment we saw the venue we fell in love with it and loved how personal and unique we could make our wedding. We were blown away with the views and loved that we could all stay there together for the weekend.
Q. What does your wedding dress look like? Please give a detailed description and also include any accessories such as shoes.
A. After shopping with her Mom, the bride chose an ivory sweetheart gown by Maggie Sorreto, and wore a long veil. A perfect mix of elegance and beachy. My shoes were ivory peep toes by Alan Pinkus.
Q. What is the Theme or style of your wedding?
A. Pink romance with a touch of coastal
Q. Hair & make up?
A. The incredible Ally De La Rosa.
Q. Who is conducting your service?
A. Reverend Gerry Riviere. Who was the Bride’s family pastor for years.
Q. Florist?
A. Kristy Gainfort. Soft, pretty mixes of pink roses, hydrangeas and Singapore Orchids. The long centerpiece boxes were a mix of pinks and leafy greens. The centerpiece boxes were made by the Bride’s father, Alan Muller, the groom, and the Maid of Honour’s boyfriend, Gareth Hunter.
Q. Wedding Favours & Cake?
A. Favours were white boxes of pink and white marshmellow hearts. Made by Gareth, Amber and Emma
Q. Invitations & Stationary?
A. Save the dates were hand made by Brad and Taryn. The wedding invitations were handmade by the Maid of Honour and the Bride, with help from the Bride’s family and Brad.
Q. Food & Drink?
A. The amazing team from Priors Catering. Alva was so open and excited to incorperate touches of South Africa cuisine. The food was a mix of unique South African food and summery seafood
Q. Is there any other supplier you would specifically like to mention?:
A. From the moment we met Lucas , we felt so comfortable and relaxed with him. We blown away by his unique talent and we were so excited to see what he could do for our wedding. Without the help of the lovely ladies at Clifftop our day wouldn’t have happened. Helen and Rachel were so kind, helpful and flexible. We left feeling like we were saying goodbye to family. Island Marquees did a fantastic job of setting up the marquee and the guys were so friendly and helpful.
We couldn’t have had our dream day without all the help from our family and bridal party. They all helped willingly to create the vision that we had in our minds. We thank them for all their hard work!

[wedding photos in melbourne] – Stephen & Lisa

Stephen & Lisa were married at Kamesburgh Gardens in Brighton which was a beautiful place for wedding photos in melbourne. Additional photo’s were taken at the Sandringham Yacht Club. The slideshow below is a snap shot of the couples wedding day which was shown to their guests during the reception in the evening. Following is some questions we asked the bride and her answers:

How did you meet?
Steve and I originally met through mutual friends, we used to go to the same local parties when we were younger. At first we just became good friends eventually becoming best friends always there for each other but as time went along we both knew that there was much more there, and things just began to develop.

Where and how did the proposal take place?
The proposal was actually quite exciting Steve had proposed at my (Lisa) 21st birthday party. He was doing this absolutely beautiful speech and you could just tell it was heading somewhere before I knew he was down on one knee in front of me with this amazing engagement ring in a jewellery box. It was so amazing in front of all our friends and both of our families. Everybody was so excited for us it was so great to be able to share such an amazing time with all our closest friends and family.

Where was your wedding held?
The wedding ceremony was held at Kamesburgh Gardens in Brighton which we had set up with market umbrellas, floral arrangements and seats for our guests. The reception then followed at the Sandringham Yacht Club which was not only an amazing venue to look at, but had five star service from beginning to end.

What was the Theme or Style?
We didn’t really have a theme that we stuck to in the sense of traditional or modern, we just chose the things that we liked. The colour theme was lemon yellow and it was absolutely gorgeous it went with everything summer, the garden and the yacht club.

What was your favourite moment of your wedding?
Of course we want to say the whole day there were just so many highlights. But for me as the bride the best moment was when finally reached the beginning of the aisle and saw Steve for the first time and he was seeing me, he started crying. He is a man of very few emotions, so to see him crying and his best man holding him really tugged at my heart, it was seriously beautiful. Steve – spending the morning with his mates and the speeches were a definite highlight, but the one special moment was also the first moment he saw the bride, it was breathtaking, she looked gorgeous I never thought that that moment could actually bring me to tears.

Description of Bride’s Dress:
The dress was a Designs by Moonlight it was made from Regal satin with a soft sweetheart top. It had a lace-up back and a chapel train. The dress also had detailing with swarovski crystals, gems, glass, bugle, seed beads and clear sequins.

The Honeymoon Destination and any details or stories you’d like to share:
For the honeymoon we are off to Tahiti which is going to be fantastic. We are away for 12 days staying on the main island of Papeete and then heading to Moorea where will spend our stay on a beach view room and then the second half in an overwater bungalow which we are both very excited about.

Suppliers you would love mentioned:
There are a few special suppliers and services that we would like to mention:

Videography – Rachael Mary Videography was absolutely amazing anyone who can put up with 7 boys and a bridal party of 14 should be commended. She just went about her business the whole day and did a massive 15 hours we cannot wait to see what she has captured.

Hair was done by Mel at Devine Hair Studios who came to the house on morning, which was so great and convenient with such a large bridal party.

Steve Mason the celebrant was amazing so professional the whole time and made sure no stone was left unturned and made the ceremony all about Steve and I where we began, we have been and where we are going. Just amazing. Not to mention that he brought his wife along to help organise the girls, tell them when it was time to walk and help me the bride with making sure the train on my dress was fine before I began to walk out.

Chas D our DJ and MC was fantastic. Could not recommend him high enough. He helped create a night that reflected Steve and I as well as our guest. He helped us organise the night so it ran smoothly whilst keeping it light hearted and funny. And his DJ service was absolutely awesome the night would not have been the same without him.

You can not forget Lucas (melbourne wedding photos) either, after seeing his work with one of our guests at the wedding we knew that his work was not like anything else. When we first met with him that just reconfirmed how professional and passionate he is about his work. He made us both feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and was so easy to work with. He was a great guy that we had a lot of fun with and cannot wait to see the work he produces capturing such a significant and amazing day for us. Thank you so much, will definitely be finding any excuse to have photographs taken by him again. Thank you so so much.

Torquay Wedding – Peter & Stephanie

Peter and Stephanie were married at St Therese Catholic Church on the 15th December 2012. Their ceremony was followed by a reception held at Wyndham Resort in Torquay.

What the bride wore:
Stephanie wore an ALine strapless wedding gown with ivory silk georgette overlay (pearl beading) with short train and full length buttons down the back – Cartier by Mariana Hardwick. This was offset with a Diamonte and pearl brooch, headpiece and earings by Linda Gorrigne. Dressmaker Lainie Brookman was responsible for the ivory sash and also made the bridesmaids dressers which were off the shoulder orange silk full length dresses.

Hair and makeup were by Megan Hines from ‘That Blonde Chick‘ in Geelong.

Flowers:
These consisted of a combination of ivory roses, orange tulips and white orchids by Shelley at Beachside Blooms in Ocean Grove.

Wedding Theme:
The wedding had a ‘beach’ theme with a touch of golf. Centrepieces included seaside bowls with sand, starfish & shells set on mirror plates with orange and yellow orchids and tealight candles. The colour scheme included bright orange, gold and a little yellow and white to represent the sunset on the beach.

Wedding Cake & Favors:
The wedding favors consisted of little chocolate golf balls made by Lizzy’s Chocolates and the wedding cake was made by Sarah & Ellen of Kiss Kakes.

A little about the couple:
The reason for the inclusion of golf in the wedding theme was because Pete plays professional golf full time on the Australasia and One Asia Golf Tours. He also coaches at House of Golf in Malvern during his off season. Pete missed the Australian PGA Championship at Coolum which was rescheduled to be the same time as his wedding. Steph also played golf full time as an amateur with the VIS for 3 years before completing a Bachelor of Business at Monash. She currently works with Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Transaction Services.

The couple met at Patterson River Golf Club where Pete was receiving coaching and Steph was working part time in the Pro Shop in January 2006.

Where and how did the proposal take place?
The couple went on a weekend golf trip together to Barnbougle Golf Course in Tasmania. During an evening walk on the beach behind the course, Pete pretended to pick up a shell and instead went down on one knee and proposed!

[Melbourne Wedding] – Jason & Fleur

Jason & Fleur”s Melbourne Wedding was held at the Willows Restaurant in St Kilda Road. The bride ‘Fleur’ gives us some background details of the couple and their big day:

When and where did the couple first meet:

Jason is friends with my brother but at the time of meeting early 2006, I was taken. I didn’t see Jason again for another 6 months. By chance or maybe it was fate, in December 2006 we were on the same boat cruise and we both remember the first thing I said, “Guess what I’m single!” Jason’s reply was “Finally!”

We went on an official date soon after to which I came home to my parents and said “I’m going to marry this one, I can feel it!” My Mum replied “Want to know something funny? The doctor that brought you into this world on November 6 1980, his name was Dr Harvey (Jason’s surname). This gave me goose bumps it was fate!

Details of the Proposal:

It was my 28th birthday 2008, Jason woke me at 4am to take me on a hot air balloon. 800 feet up he asked “Fleur will you marry me?” Over the Yarra Ranges. I of course said “YES!” The ring was very special to Jason as it was his Mum’s. I thought this was very sentimental. We went to KoKo’s at Crown and celebrated.

Theme or Style of Wedding:

I didn’t really have a theme to start with but it’s ended up being rustic with a modern twist to it. During the ceremony we had small satchels filled with lavender and guests were asked to smell the fragrant herb and remember this sweet moment.

Description of Bride’s Dress:

My dress is a 1920′s style meets runway. It’s strapless fitted and has beautiful tulle ruffled at the bottom so it flares out to give it that mermaid look. French lace carefully positioned on the dress to give it that soft touch. Crystals are also scattered to catch the suns light. I highly recommend my dressmaker Anne Stowers. She has been making wedding dresses for 30 years.

Flowers:

My bouquet was made by a family friend who is a florist. I wanted a fluffy bouquet to match the bottom of my dress.

Bride’s Shoes:

I searched for my shoes for 6 months! They were the very last size 6 Randee Badgley Mischka’s.

Decorations:

All reception decor was styled by TableArt. Allie was extremely professional and knew exactly what I liked. I highly recommend her.

I wanted to have a LOVE sign in life like size, Palace Props was able to make this dream come true. The photo’s are going to be amazing and it will be a bit of fun for everyone to pose and even sit in the letter O.

Celebrant:

Greg Evans

Jewellery/Accessories:

My hair piece was made by Caillan Alainn with left over French lace. It was handmade and is absolutely stunning.

Hair & Makeup:

My good friend Victoria is a makeup artist for Napoleon, she knows her makeup too well. Hair was styled by Above Cut & Beauty – Kiley Armstrong made it happen Victoria Secret Style!

Wedding Favours & The Cake:

House of Elegant Cakes were able to make a delicious 3 tier vanilla chocolate cake. The design was simple icing and lace from my dress around the edges, with a string of pearls also.

We had mint tins placed for each guest as they sat down; these were ordered from the US with personalized stickers that said ‘Fleur & Jason – mint to be.’ Inside were mini spearmints. We thought everyone at one time would be wishing for a mint…

Invitations & Stationery:

I did all the design of our wedding stationery. We had a monogram of the letter H and our first name initials F & J, this was used for the official invite and rubber stamped on our lavender satchels. The printing was letter press and for a fraction of the cost Impressive Inkreations made this expensive style of letterpress possible.

Food & Drink:

All food and drink were provided by The Willows

The Honeymoon:

We are calling it the Mini Moon (Koh Samui) it’s our brief adventure before the real honeymoon which is the European summer of 2013.

wedding photos melbourne – David & Lan

What a day we had with David and Lan.  Started off with a traditional Tea Ceremony at each families house, which if you haven’t seen or been to one of these are a heap of fun!  Many family members crowded into a small room, singing, bearing gifts, laughing, crying… what better way to start the day.  The photos I was able to capture in little space where very emotive and really set the scene of what was taking place. After the Tea Ceremonies concluded it was time to get ready and head off to the main ceremony which was held at an amazing big church being St Brendans in Flemington.  We managed to get a few fantastic locations in to create some beautiful fine art prints.  Lunica on Parkville was the final destination to what was a magnificent and very enjoyable day.  My thanks go to David and Lan for trusting Lens to Life to capture your day and I truly hope you love your images!  And believe me there is a lot of them… Your album is going to be awesome!  Also to Michael of Allure Productions who I’ve worked with many times for helping make the day a heap of fun!  If you are looking for a videographer then this guy is your man!
