James and Tahlia’s Trenavin Chapel wedding located on Phillip Island. Below are some words from our bride and groom about their wedding, how they met and their future together.
Stuart and Laura’s Phillip Island wedding commenced with the ceremony at the beautiful Trenavin Chapel and was followed by a ceremony at Clifftop Boutique Accommodation.
Q. When and how did you meet? And what were your first thoughts?
A. We meet at high school in year 9. It is hard to remember back then what our first thoughts were as it has been 12 years. We are total opposites – Stuart is the joker and Laura is the serious one.
Q. When and how did the proposal take place and how did you feel?
A. Stuart proposed to Laura in a hot air balloon ride over Sugarloaf Dam in the Yarra Valley. Stuart obviously was very nervous, but still got down on one knee. Laura was shocked to say the least – she couldn’t stop swearing at him (in a funny way, because she was so shocked)
Q. Where are you going on your honeymoon?
A. We leave after the wedding for a week in Port Douglas. We plan to go overseas once we have finished building our dream home.
Q. What are your future plans together (e.g. buying a house/starting a family)
A. Finish building our new home, plan an overseas trip and relax.
Q. Where is your ceremony and reception being held and why did you choose these venues?
A. Our ceremony is at Trenavin Chapel, which we both fall in love with because of the driveway before even seeing the chapel.
Our reception is at Clifftop Boutique Accommodation. We choose this venue for its amazing views and we both just felt really comfortable – like we were at home.
