Phillip Island Wedding – Nevin & RhiannonNevin & Rhiannon’s Phillip Island Wedding in Gippsland was held at Red Rocks Beach, and the reception at “The shed” on Gap Road on the memorable date of 11.11.11! The couple were kind enough to answer a few questions for us: How did you meet?
Nevin was the chef at a girlfriends restaurant, Rhi came over to Canada for a working holiday. We worked together and became good friends over the next few months, and the rest was history. After 4 months of dating we were engaged. Where and how did the proposal take place?
Our favourite Canadian restaurant “Ric’s grill” on Rhiannon’s birthday. What was the Theme or Style:
Beach and casual theme. What was your favourite moment of your wedding?:
Rhiannon’s was: When I walked down the aisle and saw my husband to be.
Nevin’s was: Driving around in Rhiannon’s Grandfathers Customline spending time with my wife. Favourite Photo and why:

The wedding was planned by Rhiannon for the first year and then she used the services of wedding co-ordinator Events by Kate (Kate Adkins)
Description of Bride’s Dress:
Strapless corset raw silk in a pearl colour, small train with wavy peaks in the silk. Flowers:
White roses with greenery done by Tropical Zone Flowers.With succulents from Rhiannon’s fathers garden.Bride’s Shoes:
Aldo shoes which were dressy flip flops.Cars:
Bride’s car was a 1956 Ford Customline which was my Grandfathers.
Groom’s car was 1969 Ford GT XT provided by Sean Dean.Celebrant
Pearl bracelets with pearl earring, and my Tiffany’s Canadian maple leaf necklace.Hair & Makeup:
Hair was styled by Vanessa Bosua, and make-up from Ally De La Rosa.Groomsmen:
They wore linen tan pants, and a plain white dress shirt accented by a purple and silver tie to match the bridesmaid dresses.
Personalized pearl/purple M&M’s from Vegas.
Melva Smith made the cup cakes, and small one tear cake, topped with two “inushuks” which mean ‘stone man point the way home,’ – Canadian Indian symbol.
Groom: Tunsten wedding band.
Bride: Tiffany’s setting knife edge platinum engagement ring. With a platinum knife edge wedding band to match.
Invitations & Stationery:
Rae Cooper designed the Invites for us, using my creation.
Food & Drink:
Food was catered by Brent Sinclair, with drinks supplied by Terrafirma.
